Have you ever wanted to see how medieval weaponry was forged? The Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild holds a Blacksmith Shop Workday every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The event takes place just a short drive from Glen Burnie at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. There, the blacksmiths forge metal with various tools. The unique attraction is well worth the 15-minute jaunt from Glen Burnie and surrounding areas.
Summer Concert at Downs Park
The Bayside Summer Concert Series takes place at Downs Park in Pasadena. Located just 10 minutes from Glen Burnie, the concert series draws in quite a crowd each year. This year, the concert series takes place on September 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Appaloosa will take the stage at Downs Park. Admission is free.
Anne Arundel Lifeline 100 Century Ride
The 4th Annual Anne Arundel Lifeline 100 Century Ride takes place on October 1, at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. The organized event offers cyclists of all levels to take a scenic adventure along road and paved trails. Routes include 100-, 65-, 30-, and 15-mile routes. Scenic sights include the BWI/Marshall airport, Severn River, Chesapeake Bay, and more.
In addition a free children’s Bike Rodeo, hosted by BikeMD, teaches younger cyclists bike safety.
